ATES Hydraulic and Thermal Modeling and Resiliency Analysis 2021

Underground Energy supported an of Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) design effort at a location in Pensacola, Florida.  UE performed hydrogeologic analyses of an aquifer pumping test and used the resulting aquifer hydraulic parameter estimates to develop a FEFLOW numerical simulation of operating hydraulic heads and subsurface heat transport.  UE also supported a resiliency evaluation of an ATES application at this hurricane and flooding prone location near the beach.
